Giving Grace Farmers & Fishermen Cooperative, (GGFFC) is a non-profit, tax exempt farming and fishing Louisiana cooperative. GGFFC assists socially disadvantaged farmers and fishermen gain access to better markets in which to sell their products. We make a strong impact on community revitalization by delivering unique opportunities to deprived rural economies.

OUR PAST PROJECTS

Feeding America 2nd Harvest shares use of its Commissary Kitchen with Giving Grace Farmers & Fishermen Co-OP
SHFB's commissary kitchen program has the goal of supporting local farmers. To reduce the obstacles that often prevent socially disadvantaged farmers from creating successful and sustainable small businesses and expanding existing programs SHFB makes available the shared use of its commissary kitchen facilities (the "Facility"} at no cost.

Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
A GGFFC specialty crop farmer makes use of a high tunnel “hoop house,” to plant crop year-
round. USDA/NRCS EQIP Program assisted with available funding.

Supporting local nonprofit of GGFFC works with Orphe Creole Farms, LLC
Orphe Creole Farms planted and harvested a 3-acre community garden of cabbages, collardgreens, mustard greens and okra to help provide fresh produce to local nonprofit’s food pantries.
