We on a mission to cancel hunger!

Our Process

We work to facilitate food distribution solutions that solve the increased need for locally sourced produce.

We connect local producers, nonprofit organizations, state agencies, and buyers in and around the state of Louisiana.

We provide resources and best practices to assist small farmers in producing the best organic crops.   We work closely with these farmers to assist in placing these crops on the market.

Our History

Giving Grace Farmers & Fishermen was started in 2016 by Sharleen Orphe JeanBaptitse.  Sharlene worked through a number of hurdles as she started Orphe Creole Farms LLC, which is a specialty crop farm located in Louisiana. Sharleen noticed the lack of assistance, access, and opportunities for small rural farmers.  After reaching out to fellow farmers, she met other farmers who were experiencing similar challenges in their business.  Since then the organization has grown steadily and now has 43 Louisiana Statewide agricultural producers, orchard growers, and fishermen as members of the organization.  Together the Co-Op is on a mission to “Cancel Hunger” and provide organic locally produce around the state of Louisiana.
